Once you come to Indonesia to attend our wedding, we hope you would also find the time to explore the countryside and/or relax from the stress at work. Here we list several of many good options for travel in Indonesia.
Java - Bali Overland Trip
A lot of culture from ancient buddhist temples to misterious shadow theatre, nature with volcanoes and rice fields, and of course plenty of food: that's a few of the things that Java has to offer.
For your convenience we give you an overview of Java-tours organized by different travel agencies.
Intrepid Travels (through STA Travel)
Intrepid Travels is an international travel agency that is specialized on tours for younger people. These tours can be booked online on their website, or in Switzerland through STA Travel. On their website they list 12 different trips in Indonesia, most of them in & around Bali. But especially interesting for you is the tour East Indies Explorer, going from Jakarta to Bali, taking 15 days. The price is a great 740 Australian $, about 700 CHF.
According to STA Travel, Intrepid tours get a very good feedback by their customers. There might also be the possibility to do it in a private group with other guests of ours.

Bali or Lombok Beach Holiday
Straight after the wedding we could head straight to Bali and stay there, relaxing on the beach, doing watersports, going out in the evenings, enjoy the rich hindu culture and heritage.
Alternatively we could move on to Lombok, the neighbour island of Bali. It offers the same beaches, but more pristine nature and less tourists.
Diving
For the more adventurous spirits, we propose to go to a diving trip together. Indonesia with it's 17'000 islands offers many famous diving spots and schools where you can make PADI beginner courses with professional instructors.
Diving is also possible in Bali or Lombok, so it's possible to combine a few days of diving with relaxing on the beach or hiking.
